This 5-door hatchback comes slightly redesigned, and its chassis will be lighter this time – making it better in handling and fuel efficiency. New Chevy Cruze 2017 diesel mpg and specs
The new Chevy Cruze 2017 will ditch the 1.8-liter power mill in the existing version for a new 1.4-litre, turbocharged power mill which would be mated with an all-new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission gearbox. This would be a brand new turbocharged engine which would be small in shape and able to offer a peak power of 140 horsepower and maximum torque of 173 pounds per foot. A 1.5-liter Ecotec turbocharged engine might also be offered here, with ability to generate maximum torque of 108 pounds per foot and peak power of 113 hp. It is not known what type of transmission it is likely to be paired with. It will probably be an AMT gearbox, although Chevrolet is tight-lipped about it. When it comes to diesel powerplant, it will be powered by 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with 150 horses and 260 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy could go up to 46 mpg on highway.
