The new 2018 Toyota Camry brings out a fundamental shift, bolder in style and re-imagined dimensions.
The Toyota Camry’s 2016 version managed to be the best selling vehicle in last year. Toyota says that it will be involving more behind the wheel. The intuitive driver-cantered experience helps you embrace your journey and dual exhaust paired with quad chrome tips gives it a sporty feel.
2018 Toyota Camry design
The wheelbase is 2 inches longer than its predecessors. The roof and the hood height have gone down by 1 and 1.6 inches. Similarly, the front and rear hips points have also been lowered down. These give the car a compact look. Accordingly, the hood, cowl and the dashboard have been lowered to maintain visibility. Toyota has considerably improved the dynamics of the new 2018 Toyota Camry. It will be available in four trim levels, just like its predecessor: LE, XLE, SE and XSE.

The company has promised a cabin design that focuses more on the driver and goes well with the altered seating positions. The interior comes equipped with Toyota’s all new ‘Human Machine Interface’. It consists of a 7-inch gauge display and a 10-inch color Head-up display. The center stack controls come with the latest Entune 3.0 touchscreen and an integrated HVAC control panel. The Entune has been upgraded to give a more smartphone-like feel by the addition of menus and icons.
Onboard WiFi is optional but it is something you would not want to miss on. The JBL sound system has also been upgraded. It also comes with a standard Toyota Safety suite with accident avoidance technologies. It includes technologies like auto-brake, pedestrian detection. lane-departure warning, auto-steering, and automatic high beams.
2018 Camry specs and price
The car comes with an all new double-wishbone suspension and 4 point engine mounts which lead to a reduction in noise, vibrations, and harshness. Toyota likes to claim that drivers will feel the difference in the first few seconds of driving. It comes with a new line up of powertrains. It has a new 2.5-liter four-cylinder ‘Dynamic Force Engine’ which should deliver around 180 horses and 170 lb-ft of torque. The company adopted a longer stroke and higher compression ratio. The latest model has the brand’s VVT-iE system. No particular output specs have been released. Toyota promises better power and torque along with fuel efficiency. The current leaders in the clubhouse manage 31 mpg combined. It increases electric boost, hence acceleration. Second powerplant is an all-new 3.5-liter V6 which should deliver about 270 horses like in its predecessor.
The 2018 Camry Hybrid will also be available as third power option. This should be great balance between power and fuel efficiency. This hybrid system will include the new 2.5-liter Dynamic Forde inline-4 Engine which comes paired with CVT automatic gearbox. This transmission includes new Sport Mode that can simulate 6-speed sequential experience thanks to paddle shifters mounted on steering wheel.
Price details aren’t officially available yet. The base price should not be far from $23,070. It will go on sale late in the summer of 2017.
